How Does It Work?

A soapy solution acts as a lubricant and breaks up the dirt, then the squeegee is used to draw the now water-borne dirt off the glass leaving a clean surface. The "swivel method", or "fan method" as it is referred to by professionals, uses a series of strokes combined with turns that hold the water away from the leading edge of the squeegee; when the turn is completed in the opposing direction, there is no water and no dirt left isolated. Straight strokes, either horizontally or vertically, are normally much more efficient than “fanning” when using fixed handle squeegees; however, this method leads to more streaks and missed spots. If a few spots are missed, a chamois leather cloth works better for touch up than a towel of cloth or paper.

How To Use It

To replace a Sorbo rubber, simply remove the steel retaining tab on one side of your Sorbo channel, slide the rubber through the slot, with the notch lined up with the internal divot, pull so that the rubber is taut and there is an equal overhang on both sides, then slide the retaining tab firmly back into place, snap the completed Sorbo channel into a compatible grip, and get wiping!

Where To Use It

Squeegees make short work of unclean hard glossy surfaces including most window panes, shower cubicles and ceramic tiles.

Where NOT To Use It

Sorbo Professional rubbers are not compatible with most conventional squeegee channels due to the double notched "T" cross section, make sure you have the correct channel to use these with before buying!
